THE LEGEND
Krali Marko grinned his corn in a wind-mill on the peak of Chuchul. The shepherds say its ruins are still there. Krali Marko was kneading bread, which he baked in Pestta (the oven) – a site northwest of Duschal (the flat peak). East of the peak of Chuchul are the Marko’s trapezi (tables) – terraced meadows with large flat stones on them. There Krali Marko meet his sister Mara. The old shepherds say he was guarding his yards day and night. During the longest day he still comes there at fool-moon. And on each holly day he comes to his barns in the mountain and gives corn to the poor. |
