THE LEGEND
Krali Marko gave up fighting the Turks when they started using fire-weapons against the Bulgarians, he did not know these weapons and they were mightier than his heavy mace. Then the Turks carried guns and he only had his mace to protect himself. He did not know the power of the guns. He thought that when the bullet gets out of the gun he could catch it by hand. He said: Come on shoot at me! Well, the Turk shot at him and the bullet passed through his hand. Then Krali Marko said: - I am leaving! He left this mountain and went back to his birthplace the region of Prilep in Macedonia. |
